Took a slice of this photo for the masthead. Taken from a hike the day after Christmas at Cold Canyon Reserve about 8 miles east of Winters, CA. Davis is such a flat place, it is nice to get into the hills sometimes.

Nice looking photo. How far is this from Sutter Creek? Is there any Gold in them thar hills?
Mike, this is about 60-70 miles north west of Sutter Creek. Way too far west to find any gold. There is always some sort of “gold rush” going on in Calfornia though you just have to figure out what the next one will be. BTW I do have LLL so 3 comments for do-follow.
By the pictures that is a great place. Looked like a nice day for a hike also.
