It is hard to deny no matter what your political leanings are that there is a sense that change will soon be coming to the White House. Seems people I know have caught White House fever and although I don’t watch much news it seems like I’m surrounded by talk of the inauguration, new administration and the White House.
I had lunch yesterday with a couple of my Davis Lyon Real Estate agent pals and Bob Bockwinkel was talking about his upcoming trip along with his wife, Marie to Washington DC to attend the inauguration. They have tickets for some of events and parties but are planning on watching the swearing in on big screens at the Capitol Mall.
A twitter friend of mine, Zack Katz has been blogging about the White House Web Designer and the look of the new Change.gov site as well as speculating what changes might occur to the official whitehouse.gov site. Looks like Obama’s web designers changed the blues and the reds and made them look more distinguished – presidential. The Change.gov site reminds me a little of some of the custom Real Estate Webmaster sites – maybe I always have real estate sites on the brain.
Speaking of real estate, my friends at the Koitz Group in Bethesda, MD are also blogging about the new administration and Obama’s impact on the greater Washington D.C. housing market. Seems like they aren’t planning for any major market shifts because of the new administration – let’s just hope homes keep selling.
I’m sure we are going to hear a lot more about the new administration and about change in the next few weeks.
